Eric Bass Named Belk Senior Vice President, Staffing and Productivity

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Aug. 6, 2010 – Belk has announced the appointment of Eric Bass to senior vice president of staffing and productivity, reporting to Ron Shealy, executive vice president, operations.
Bass has served as senior vice president and director of stores for the Belk Southern Division since November 2007, and previously was vice president of process improvement. He joined Belk in 2003 as vice president and regional store manager of the Leesburg, Fla. region in the Belk Southern Division.
Bass began his retail career with McRae’s in Jackson, Miss. in 1991 and subsequently held a number of store management positions with McRae's and later Burdines in Florida before joining Belk. He is a graduate of the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Ark. with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration.
